MILFORD - The Pike County Board of Commissioners and Pike County Community Planning have been working closely with the new Scranton Office of the US Census Bureau.  The US Census Bureau is in urgent need of applicants for Census Enumerators.  In order to fulfill their employment needs, they will be having a one day marathon of testing on Monday, February 15th.  Numerous testing locations and times throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania will be offered.  In Pike County, the testing locations are as follows:

Monday, February 15th, 2010

• Hemlock Farms Steer Barn Art Room        8 a.m.
• Lehman Municipal Building                       11:30 a.m.
• Paupack Methodist Church - Route 507     1:30 p.m.
• Lackawaxen Library                                     3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Hourly pay will be $11.25 with paid training and mileage reimbursement. Anyone interested may pre-register by calling 1-866-861-2010 toll-free or the Scranton Office at 570-903-6021.  

The Bureau is looking to hire around 1,000 Enumerators in our region!  Time is short in getting the word out on this testing day so your assistance in getting the word out would be greatly appreciated!
