Husband shoots at car after wife gets ride home

LONG POND – Police have charged a Long Pond man after he fired shots at a car belonging to a man who gave his wife a ride home.  The incident happened about 3 a.m. Saturday morning.

Police were called to the scene to investigate a domestic disturbance, after the victim called police.  He said after dropping the woman off, her husband emerged from the house with a 22 caliber revolver and fired a shot.  He fled.

Police observed physical injury to the woman, then arrested Gregory Cooper, 34, into custody and confiscated his weapon.

Cooper is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, terroristic threats, tampering with evidence and harassment.
