CHERRY RIDGE TWP – A single-engine plane crashed in a swampy area near the Cherry Ridge Airport early Monday afternoon.  Both people onboard were able to walk away.

Reports indicate the plane may have developed problems while coming in for a landing.  The pilot may have tried to abort, unsuccessfully. 

FAA investigators arrived late Monday and will try to determine what happened.
