MOUNT POCONO – The suspect arrested shortly after allegedly robbing the ESSA Bank in Mount Pocono, Thursday, reportedly has told police he is the ‘silent bandit’ suspect responsible for robbing several banks, recently, in eastern Pennsylvania and nearby New Jersey, including five robberies in the past two weeks in the Bucks County and Trenton areas.. 

Fawzi Atra, age and address not known, was arraigned in federal court in Wilkes-Barre Friday afternoon.  The FBI says he is a suspect in all those robberies.
