CHESTNUTHILL TWP – Speed is tentatively blamed for the death of a Gilbert resident and serious injuries to two passengers.

Frankie Lewoc, 19, a student at Clarion University, apparently lost control on Astolat Road, early Wednesday afternoon, hitting a tree, then a barn. 

Lewoc and two passengers were flown to an area hospital.  Lewoc died at the hospital.  The passengers, Joseph Marino 18, of Effort and Zachary Hineline, 19, of Saylorsburg, were reported in satisfactory condition, on Thursday.
