Police investigate $26K lottery theft

BLOOMING GROVE – State police say a worker at the Rite-Aid store on Route 739 is accused of stealing $26,000 from the store dating back to last July.  The theft was reported to police by a loss prevention officer for Rite-Aid.

The 20-year-old woman, whose name was not provided, allegedly started taking small amounts of cash as she was paying out winning lottery tickets.  Over time, she allegedly would take larger amounts of cash.
