DV Board adopts zero tax budget

WESTFALL - By a vote of 6-3 the Delaware Valley School Board voted for a budget option which will not raise taxes to help cover an almost $800,000 deficit.

The option chosen will raid money from two funds: the Internal Services Fund  and the PSERS committed service fund.

The second option on the table would have included an almost two percent tax increase. If the third option was chosen, it would have combined a smaller tax increase with taking less money from the two funds.

The ‘no’ votes on the final budget were Susan Schor, Jack Fisher, and John Wroblewski.
