Lengthy investigation leads to drug arrests

EAST STROUDSBURG – The Monroe County Drug Task Force with assistance from the Stroud Area Regional Police Department, Pennsylvania State Police and the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office arrested Torrance Savage, 31 and Elyse Imbert, 27, both of East Stroudsburg, after a drug raid at their residence early Wednesday morning.

The investigation began in July of 2015 following a complaint from a concerned citizen who came forward with information about Savage selling cocaine out of bars in Stroudsburg.

Police purchased cocaine from Savage from his residence on North Courtland Street in East Stroudsburg.

Upon execution of the search warrant both suspects were found inside.  The search also yielded Approximately 1.5 ounces of cocaine, som marijuana, paraphernalia, cellphones and cash.

The suspects admitted that they sell cocaine to support their own habit.

Savage and Imbert are being held in lieu of $20,000 bail each pending a preliminary hearing on December 13.
