Armed robbery at laundromat

STROUDSBURG - Stroud Area Regional Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred shortly before 9:00 Wednesday morning at the Main Street Laundromat at 514 Main Street, Stroudsburg.

An individual armed with a knife accosted the employee and demanded money. The assailant then fled after taking an undetermined amount of money.

The suspect is described as a black male 18-27 years old, 5’9” to 6’, with a thin build. He was wearing a black face mask and only the area around his eyes was exposed. He was wearing a green hooded coat (military style) and khaki colored pants. He was carrying a yellow plastic grocery bag, and was armed with a large hunting type knife.
