Stroudsburg man arrested for crack cocaine near county courthouse


STROUDSBURG - Members of the Monroe County Drug Task Force arrested and charged Carmen Diacheysn, 47, of Stroudsburg, who was known to members of the Drug Task Force as a crack cocaine user.  He was also known to be on supervision with Monroe County Probation and Parole. 

A detective spotted Diacheysn on Monroe Street and made contact with him as he walked passed the courthouse.  Diacheysn consented to a search and was found in possession of baggie of crack cocaine.

Diacheysn was taken into custody. He said he was attempting to deliver the cocaine to a female who was residing in his apartment.

Diacheysn was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, purchasing a controlled substance, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.  He was also charged with criminal use of a communication facility after admitting to use his cell phone to set up the drug deal.

Bail for Diacheysn was set at $25,000 secured.
