Monroe couple guilty of felony child ware offences

STROUDSBURG – A jury in Monroe County Court convicted a husband and wife on several felony counts of endangering the welfare of children.  The victims reportedly were boys, ages 12, 9 and 7.

Rafael Ray Olivo, 36, of East Stroudsburg, was found guilty of three counts of felony endangering welfare of children, three counts of felony criminal conspiracy to endanger the welfare of children, two counts of misdemeanor simple assault, and two counts of summary harassment. 

His wife, Christine Nazario, 36, also of East Stroudsburg, was found guilty of three counts of felony endangering welfare of children and three counts of felony criminal conspiracy to endanger the welfare of children. 

The verdicts were returned after a day and a half of courtroom testimony and lengthy deliberation from a jury of twelve. 

Bail for both defendants was increased to $250,000 secured. Both were taken into custody.  Sentencing is scheduled for April 17.
