Pretrial motions today in Frein trial

MILFORD – Attorneys on both sides in the Eric Frein murder case will be in Pike County Court today, to argue four pretrial motions.  All pertain to admissible evidence, including one that seeks to suppress statements Frein made after his capture on October 30, 2014.

The actual start of the Eric Frein trial is now scheduled for Tuesday, April 4.

Frein is accused of the ambush killing of State Police Corporal Eric Dickson and wounding of trooper Alex Douglass outside the Blooming Grove barracks in September, 2014.  He was captured in Monroe County 48 days later.

He will be tried in Pike County Court before jury picked in Chester County.  The trial is expected to last three to six weeks.
