Frein confession played in court

MILFORD – Possibly the key piece of prosecution evidence was presented in Pike County Court on Tuesday, the sixth day of Eric Frein’s murder trial.  Frein is accused of killing one state trooper and wounding another, outside the Blooming Grove State Police barracks in September 2014.

Frein was captured 48 days after the crime, and was interviewed for three and a half hours, during which he acknowledged the shooting, hoping it would prompt changes in government.

Frein’s defense attorneys wanted to suppress the confession.  The judge denied that motion during a pre-trial hearing last week.

The prosecution could rest its case within a week.
