Frein trial: Week two wraps up

MILFORD – A handwriting expert was one of the witnesses to take the stand on Thursday in the trial of accused cop killer Eric Frein.  The expert linked handwriting in a journal to the suspect.

Frein reportedly kept the journal during the more than six weeks between the September 2014 shooting of two troopers outside the Blooming Grove Barracks and his capture, at an inactive aircraft hangar in Monroe County, where he had been hiding.

Frein is accused of the ambush killing of Bryon Dickson and seriously wounding Alex Douglass, who is expected to testify when the trial resumes next week.

Because of Good Friday, there will be no session today.
