Trooper Douglas takes the stand

MILFORD – Week three of the Eric Frein murder trial began with testimony from the state trooper who survived the ambush attack outside the Blooming Grove barracks, a year and a half ago.

Trooper Alec Douglass, who was at his personal vehicle, heard pops and quickly realized things weren’t right.  He then saw Cpl. Bryon Dickson, mortally wounded, on the ground.

Douglass was critically wounded and has undergone several surgeries.

There was no cross examination from Frein’s defense.

The prosecution is expected to rest this week.
