Two Pike residents arrested in nearby New York

PORT JERVIS – A Matamoras woman was arrested by Port Jervis City Police on several drug-related charges.

Police arrested Brandi Comfort, 31, on April 16 after she allegedly sold heroin to another person on three dates.  She is charged with three counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance and three counts of criminal possession with intent to sell, all as felonies.  She is in the Orange County NY Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail.

In an unrelated matter, a Milford man was arrested by Port Jervis Police and charged with breaking into the Port Jervis Market Place, formerly Sav-a-Lot, and stealing money during the early morning hours of April 17,

James Purcell, 32, was wanted on a Port Jervis City Court bench warrant. He was charged with felony burglary and misdemeanor drug possession after he was found in possession of several bags of heroin. He was also charged with failure to appear on a bench warrant issued in 2014.

Purcell was sent to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail on the burglary and larceny charges and an additional $2,4000 cash bail on the drug possession charge.
