Death for Frein

MILFORD – Eric Frein is heading to death row.  The same jury that last week convicted Eric Frein on all 12 counts related to the ambush killing of one state trooper and wounding of another, returned the decision that he should die late Wednesday night.  The jury deliberated for five hours.

A unanimous decision was required from the 12-member jury.  Otherwise, the sentence would have been life in prison.

Frein’s defense attorneys reportedly plan to appeal the sentence.

Frein was convicted of the September 2014 killing of corporal Bryon Dickson and wounding of Trooper Alex Douglass.
