Monroe man charged with trying to sell drugs, guns on Facebook

TOBYHANNA TWP – A Blakeslee was arrested Thursday after Pocono Mountain Regional Police SWAT and the Monroe County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at his residence located in Greenwood Acres in Tobyhanna Township, Monroe County, Pennsylvania.

Jhoan Molina, 26, came to the attention of a Monroe County District Attorney’s Office detective when she noticed his Facebook page, which had boasted of guns, drugs and money.   Molina posted a photograph of himself standing in his residence, located in Greenwood Acres with a handgun in his right front pocket. He also had photographs of marijuana, marijuana paraphernalia and large sums of US currency.

Police recruited an informant who purchased marijuana from Molina, at his residence. These events resulted in the search warrant which was executed by SWAT on June 1st, 2017.

Upon execution of the search warrant police found a loaded AR15 in the residence and a loaded Taurus 9mm Handgun on his nightstand. Police also found marijuana, a digital scale, packaging materials and $480.

Molina was arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of instruments of a crime, criminal use of a communication facility, possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held in lieu of 50,000 secured bail.
