Port Jervis Police Chief William Worden confirmed late Saturday day that PJPD had been assisting along with Eastern Pike Regional Police Department due to a reported sighting and overall effort to keep the area safe.

EPRPD Chief Chad Stewart said Sunday morning that police in Pennsylvania were searching as part of the overall effort, and reported local sighting.

"I can only confirm that there was a report of a sighting," Stewart said.  "There was a search along riverbanks in our area yesterday as part of keeping our community safe and taking precautionary steps.  We would hope, as always, that if anyone sees something they say something.  If they are spotted in our area, we certainly want to know about it,"
