Pike teen accused of stealing beer, damaging property at NY police station

STONY POINT NY – Police responded to a convenience store on Route 9W for a report of two males who reportedly stole beer and fled on foot.

Patrols spotted the pair on a nearby bridge. They were caught a short time late and identified as the two who allegedly stole beer.

While being processed, police say James Marino, 17, of 162 Crocus Lane, Dingman Township, intentionally damaged a table in the processing area. In addition to being charged with petit larceny for the beer, he was charged with criminal mischief as a felony. He was released on $1500 bail and is due back in court July 6.

The other teen, a 15-year-old, was released to the custody of his parents.
