Pike County Court sentencing
MILFORD – A Tafton, man was sentenced to 12 months to 36 months to run consecutive to his Wayne County sentence for a total of 33 months to 96 months, fined $400 and had his driver’s license suspended for 12 months for Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer. State police encountered Justin Kenneth Singer, 29, who was wanted on a state parole warrant, driving in a development in Palmyra Township on July 30, 2016. Singer fled the trooper at a high rate of speed until his vehicle was brought to a stop by the deployment of a tire deflation device. Singer then fled on foot before finally being apprehended.

Cynthia Saint John, 47, of Dingmans Ferry, PA, was sentenced to 11 ½ months to 23 ½ months in the Pike County Jail followed by two years of probation and a fine of $500 for Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Between January 1, 2014 and April 22, 2016, in Westfall Township, Saint John failed to provide adequate care for her minor daughter in that she participated in the purchase and use of controlled substances in the presence of her child, and allowed her to associate with a known drug user who encouraged the child to perform sexual acts for money.
Christopher Scott Miller, 35, of Milford, PA, was sentenced to 8 months to 23 ½ months in the Pike County Jail, fined $1,500 and had his driver’s license suspended for 6 months for Retail Theft, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Criminal Conspiracy. Miller, together with another individual, conspired to take $278 worth of merchandise from a retail store in Westfall Township without paying for it. Miller was stopped by a loss prevention manager at a retail store in Westfall Township on September 29, 2016, for leaving the store with a television valued at $239.99, without paying for it. Miller fled in his vehicle and was stopped along Route 6 & 209 in Westfall Township. While processing Miller for the arrest, Miller was found in possession of Marihuana.
Justine Marie Henderson, 19, of Montague, NJ, was sentenced to 12 months of probation and fined $300 for Retail Theft. Henderson took $194.79 in store merchandise from a retail store in Westfall Township on February 11, 2016, without paying for it.
Benjamin James Horton, 26, of Greentown, PA, was sentenced to 12 months of probation and fined $300 for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The state police pulled Horton over along SR 507 in Greene Township on April 28, 2016, for driving with ear buds in. While speaking with Horton, the trooper detected the smell of Marihuana. A consent to search the vehicle revealed a baggie that had contained Marihuana and a pipe.
Daniel Anthony Cammarota, 19, of Milford, PA, was sentenced to 72 hours to 6 months in the Pike County Jail, fined $1,000 and had his driver’s license suspended for 18 months for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or a Controlled Substance. The state police came upon Cammarota’s vehicle which had crashed into the woods along SR 739 in Dingman Township on May 28, 2016. In speaking with Cammarota, the trooper detected the smell of an alcoholic beverage and observed Cammarota to have slurred speech, bloodshot and glassy eyes. Cammarota admitted to drinking alcohol and smoking Marihuana prior to driving. A blood test confirmed the presence of THC in his body.
Raymond Anthony Sullivan, 53, of Greentown, PA, was sentenced to 8 months of probation and fined $200 for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The state police stopped a vehicle for driving erratically along I-84 in Blooming Grove Township on September 27, 2016. Sullivan was a passenger in the vehicle. A consent to search the vehicle revealed empty glassine packets and a spoon containing Heroin residue.
Michael Steven Kelly, 27, of Milford, PA, was sentenced to 8 days to 12 months followed by 6 months of probation, fined $1,800 and had his driver’s license suspended for 24 months for 2 counts of Driving Under the Influence and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The state police were dispatched to a one-vehicle crash on January 12, 2016, where Kelly drove off Little Walker Road in Shohola and hit a tree. Kelly admitted to drinking alcohol prior to driving. A blood test confirmed a blood alcohol content of .191%. The state police were dispatched to a one-vehicle crash on June 12, 2016, where Kelly drove his vehicle off the road and into rocks along Sunrise Drive in Dingman Township. While speaking with Kelly, the trooper detected the smell of an alcoholic beverage and observed Kelly to have slurred speech, poor balance and blood shot eyes. Kelly admitted to drinking prior to the crash. Kelly was also found in possession of drug paraphernalia. A breath test confirmed a blood alcohol content of .090%.
Patrick William Fontana, 51, of Matamoras, PA, was sentenced to 12 months of probation and fined $500 for Theft by Deception. Between August 29, 2016, and November 8, 2016, Fontana presented numerous items for return at the customer service desk of a retail store in Westfall Township in exchange for U.S. currency knowing that he did not purchase the items.
