Bushkill man sentenced to prison for drugs, other crimes

WILKES-BARRE – A Pike County man was sentenced in federal court to a three-month prison term, followed by three months of home confinement and one year of supervised release for possession of drug paraphernalia. The charges stem from a traffic stop in December 2016, at the Delaware Water Gap National Recreational Area in Bushkill.

Joseph Marcoux, 25, of Bushkill, pleaded guilty on February 16, 2017, to misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, fictitious plates, and driving while operating privileges are suspended. Several other violations were dismissed pursuant to the plea agreement.

Marcoux was ordered to pay fines, assessments, fees, and $1,500 restitution for a door Marcoux damaged while in a holding cell.
