Two Monroe County banks robbed

POCONO TWP / STROUDSBURG – Police are investigating a pair of bank robberies Monday afternoon.

The first happened shortly after noon at the First National Bank on Route 611 near Tannersville.  The suspect showed a gun and got away with an undetermined amount of money.

Four hours later, the Citizens Bank on Main Street in Stroudsburg was robbed.  A suspect, described as an older tall white male took some money then got into a car, possibly a tan Buick with NJ plates, driven by a female.

Police are not saying if they think the two robberies are connected.
