Car break-ins, thefts at ESU

EAST STROUDSBURG - University Police at East Stroudsburg University report that several parked vehicles on Normal Street in East Stroudsburg (within the campus) were targeted for theft on August 31, by an unknown male. 

Video surveillance captured the suspect parking his navy blue, 4-door, BMW sedan on south side of Normal Street across from the University’s SciTech Building at about 12:13 p.m.  University Police believe the car model may possibly be a 2010 328xi. The suspect was observed walking up and down the sidewalk looking in vehicles parked at the meters while appearing to be talking on his cell phone.  The suspect then entered two vehicles and removed a student’s book bag from one of them. 

The suspect departed the area traveling East on Normal Street at approximately 12:23 p.m.

The suspect is described as a light skinned black male, possibly in his late 30’s, 5’10” – 6’2” tall, with a slender athletic build.  He was wearing a white suit possibly with blue pin stripes, a white baseball type hat, and white sneakers.
