Two Pike sex offenders sentenced to state prison

MILFORD - Two men, determined to be sexual offenders, were sentenced to state prison by Pike County Acting President Judge Gregory Chelak.

Alexander Ghidella, 28, of Bushkill, is to be incarcerated in a State Correctional Facility for 2 years to 5 years, followed by 2 years of probation, for his conviction of unlawful contact or communication with a minor, criminal solicitation to commit statutory sexual assault and criminal use of a communication facility. In March 2016, Ghidella was arrested by State Police after an investigation discovered he was utilizing a cell phone to communicate with a minor for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity. Ghidella is classified as a Tier 3 sexual offender and must register for the rest of his life.

Joseph Santora, 49, of Milford, was sentenced to 3 years to 9 years in state prison, for crimes related to downloading numerous images of child pornography during 2014 – 2015.    Santora is classified as a Tier 1 sexual offender and must register for at least 15 years.
