Half-century in prison for man guilty of several crimes

STROUDSBURG – A Stroudsburg man was sentenced to an aggregate term of incarceration of 26 to 52 years in state prison.  Eddie Quick, 32, was found guilty of several felonies, including Robbery of a Motor Vehicle, Robbery by Threat, Theft, Receiving Stolen Property, and Fleeing and Eluding from Police. He was also guilty of several misdemeanors. 

On October 16, 2015, Quick forcibly took a vehicle from the a 67-year-old military veteran, on the side of Route 196 in Mount Pocono.  The Defendant pulled the victim from his vehicle, brandished a military style knife and threatened to kill the victim multiple times. 

Quick was spotted by Pocono Township Police Officer but refused to stop, leading local and state police on an 11-mile high speed chase, at times over 100 mph, down Interstate 80 Scotrun to East Stroudsburg.  He was eventually captured.
