Two charged with attacking couple



STROUD TWP - Stroud Area Regional Police were dispatched to a fight occurring in the parking lot of 730 Phillips Street in Stroud Township on April 23rd. Responding officers met with a married couple from Tobyhanna. The man had sustained several stab wounds in the areas of his chest, back and arms. He was bleeding severely and was immediately transported to a local Hospital by Police. His wife had also been injured in the incident when she was punched and strangled by both perpetrators.

The perpetrators and their address were known to the victims, who provided them to the Police.  They were stopped in the vehicle in a development in Tobyhanna where they reside, and were taken in to custody.

Edgar Santana, 44, was charged with several felonies including attempted homicide and aggravated assault, strangulation, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person. He is in the the Monroe County Correctional Facility in lieu of $500,000.00 bail.

Antoinette Dodson, 40, was charged with felony aggravated assault, strangulation and simple assault charges as well as recklessly endangering another person. She is in the Monroe County Correctional Facility in lieu of $100,000.00 bail.

Both victims are currently being treated for their injuries at a local Hospital
