Man charged after bumping into store, giving false name

TEXAS TWP – Police charged a Throop man after they say he drove his car into a Qwik Joe convenience store while trying to park, and then giving a false ID.

The incident happened the early morning of April 11, but state police did not release information until yesterday.

Police say John Hoban, 21, overshot the parking space, hitting the corner of he entrance area to the store, doing some minor damage.  He then gave the store manager a false name and non-working phone number then left.  The manager contacted police who reviewed security video and tracked down Hoban.

Charges are pending.
