Pike woman given additional time in state prison

MILFORD - A Dingmans Ferry, woman was sentenced to 2 years to 5 years in a state correctional facility to run concurrent to the sentence she is currently serving for Retail Theft and Flight to Avoid Apprehension, Trial or Punishment. Meghan Clark, 33, took $21.49 in merchandise from a retail store in Westfall Township on April 12, 2018, without paying for it.  Between May 13, 2018 and May 30, 2018, Clark took merchandise totaling $2,685.30 from a retail store in Westfall Township without paying for it.  On May 30, 2018, Clark was recognized as a wanted person along Pennsylvania Avenue in Matamoras Borough.  When questioned by the officer, Clark provided false information and attempted to flee on foot.

Other criminal sentences issued by Pike County Court of Common Pleas President Judge Gregory Chelak:

Shakiem Terry, 28, of Milford, PA, was sentenced to 6 months to 23 months in the Pike County Jail and fined $700 for Criminal Trespass and Disorderly Conduct.  Terry gained entry into a residence in a housing community in Dingman Township on July 19, 2017, without permission from the owners.  While in the residence, he used obscene language and made obscene gestures towards the owners and continued to do so while in police custody.  While under arrest at the state police barracks, Terry urinated on the barracks floor.

Marie Rifflard, 53, of Port Jervis, NY, was sentenced to 72 hours to 6 months in the Pike County Jail, fined $1,000 and had her driver’s license suspended for 12 months for Driving Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance.  The state police were dispatched on February 27, 2017, to a report of Rifflard driving erratically along Rt. 739 in Blooming Grove Township.  Upon making contact with Rifflard, the trooper observed her to have sluggish movements and difficulty standing.  Rifflard relayed that she was under the influence of prescribed medication.  Field Sobriety Tests could not be performed.  A blood test confirmed the presence of Oxycodone in her blood.

Alison Sheridan, 36, of Greentown, PA, was sentenced to 18 months of probation and fined $200 for Theft.  While an employee at a business located in Palmyra Township, Sheridan took $1,271 from the business register between June 15, 2015 and July 15, 2015.

Matthew Smith, 46, of Deposit, NY, was sentenced to 3 years of probation and fined $600 for Unlawful Dissemination of Intimate Image and Harassment.  Smith disseminated pictures of an individual in a state of nudity between November 17, 2017 and December 17, 2017 at various locations in Shohola Township without the individual’s permission and communicated about the individual in a lewd and lascivious manner.

Rodney Humphrey, 47, of East Stroudsburg, PA, was sentenced to 12 months of Intermediate Punishment supervision to 72 months of probation supervision and fined $1,000 for Medicaid Fraud and Theft.  Between June 25, 2016 and February 8, 2017, Humphrey submitted falsified requests to obtain reimbursement for payments to Medicaid for services which were not provided.

Charles Sommers, 40, Bushkill, PA, was sentenced to an $800 fine for Simple Assault and Criminal Mischief.  The state police responded to a report of domestic violence at a residence in Lehman Township on September 21, 2017, where Sommers was found and arrested.

Amanda Keuntje, 34, of Port Jervis, NY, was sentenced to 12 months of probation and fined $200 for Retail Theft.  Keuntje took $455.23 in merchandise from a retail store in Westfall Township on January 10, 2018, without paying for the merchandise.

Alexis Scorzelli, 24, of Beach Lake, PA, was sentenced to a fine of $300 for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  On December 12, 2017, the state police stopped Scorzelli for no inspection sticker while she was traveling along SR 6 in Palmyra Township.  In making contact with Scorzelli, the trooper detected the smell of Marihuana.  Scorzelli admitted to smoking Marihuana earlier and provided the trooper with her Marihuana pipe.
