Former correction officer charged with worker’s comp fraud

MILFORD - Investigators from the Pike County District Attorney’s Office filed felony charges against a former Pike County Corrections Guard for Worker’s Compensation Fraud. Hollie Allen, Jr., 44, of Montague, NJ, was charged with two felony counts for allegedly filing a worker’s compensation claim while employed as a CO at the Pike County Correctional Facility on October 18, 2015.

While still collecting payments on his worker’s compensation claim, Allen became employed at Econo-Pak in Milford Township. He began employment there using the false name of Allen Hollie.  Allen had received over $64,000 in benefits on his claim.  He is charged with being employed while receiving worker’s compensation benefits and filing false income statements under the Worker’s Compensation Fraud Act, which are both felonies.

Allen waived his right to a preliminary hearing. His case will be forwarded to the Pike County Court of Common Pleas.  Allen remains incarcerated in lieu of $50,000 bail.
