Names released for Route 209 crash

STROUD TWP – The Monroe County Coroner’s Office released the names of the three victims who died in Sunday night’s three-car crash Route 209.

Two of the victims were adult brothers from Stroudsburg. Chester Bogart, 74 and Ronald Bogart, 68, were in a Subaru and died at the scene.

Matthew Haller, 20, of Windgap, the third victim, was in one of two Mustangs involved in the crash.

Police say Haller’s car crossed the median, near Shafer’s School House Road and struck the Subaru.  Both cars caught fire.

A second mustang later crashed into a guardrail.  The driver of that car sustained serious injuries.

Police speculate speed may have been the initial cause of the crash.
