Funeral director gets long probation for inappropriate photos


STROUDSBURG – A former funeral director who admitted taking cellphone photos of bodies, including some ‘selfies’, and sending them to friends has permanently lost her funeral director license. 

Angeliegha Stewart will also spend ten years in probation, without any jail time, and must perform 250 hours of community service. 

Stewart took 28 photos, including 16 with bodies, at the Lanterman and Allen Funeral Home in East Stroudsburg.  She plead guilty to 16 counts of abuse of a corpse.
