Police arrest suspects in East Stroudsburg gunfire

EAST STROUDSBURG – Four suspects are in custody following repots of “shots fired” near the East Stroudsburg University campus Saturday afternoon.  The incident happened in the doorway of a Hill Street residence.

Police arrested Raheem Bean, 34, of Stroud Township, and three Tobyhanna residents, Malik Adoyi, 21, Blair Fayah, 19 and Jamal Ernest, 19.

Bean, who allegedly fired a handgun at a victim who was standing in the doorway, is being held in lieu of $20,000 bail.  He is charged with criminal attempt to commit homicide, and two counts of aggravated assault, all felonies.  He also faces various misdemeanor counts.

Police say the gunfire was triggered by an argument between the shooter and his intended victim.

The other three were arraigned on a variety of felony and misdemeanor charges and released on their own recognizance.
