Former correction officer sentenced in worker’s comp fraud


MILFORD – A Montague, NJ, man was sentenced to 9 to 23 months in the Pike County Jail, followed by 1 year of probation and fined $5,000 for Worker’s Compensation Fraud. 

While Hollie Allen, 44, was employed as a correctional officer at the Pike County Correctional Facility he filed a worker’s compensation claim on October 18, 2015. While collecting compensation payments, he became employed at Econo-Pak in Milford Township under the false name of Allen Hollie. 

Investigation by the Pike County Detectives revealed that Allen had received $64,000 in benefits on his claim.  He will be required to pay full restitution for those benefits.
