Guilty verdict in murder case with ties to Wayne County

PHILADELPHIA – A man accused of murdering a Temple University student and trying to hide the body on his grandparents’ property in Wayne County, was found guilty of first degree murder and several other crimes on Thursday.

The jury deliberated for just two hours before finding Josh Hupperterz, 29, guilty.  He was sentenced to life in prison without possibility of parole.

The crime happened in 2017 in Hupperterz’s apartment.  The prosecution argued that Jenna Burleigh, 22, was murdered because she refused sex.
