Four arrested in string of home invasions

COOLBAUGH TWP – Police say they have solved at least two of nine burglaries that happened in a Pocono Country Place in October.

Video surveillance from one of the homes, on Deerfield Drive, showed two men trying to kick in the front door, eventually breaking the door.  Several males fled when confronted by an occupant in the house.

Police allow received reports of several other burglaries or attempts in the same area.

Investigation has now led to the arrest of four suspects: Christopher Babbino, 20, Robert Roe-Laverty, 24, and Barrington Perry, 19, all of Tobyhanna and Michael Benson, 21, of Albrightsville.  All face several felony charges including burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary.  Benson and Roe-Laverty are also charged as felons not permitted to possess weapons.

A fifth person, Jessica Echevarria, is charged with hindering apprehension, a felony.
