Monroe man gets prison for role in drug trafficking conspiracy

WILKES-BARRE - The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced that Steven Silva-Lugo, 32, of Henryville, was sentenced in federal court three years and nine months in prison and three years on supervised release for his role in a Monroe County-based cocaine trafficking conspiracy.

Silva-Lugo previously pleaded guilty to conspiring with others to distribute between 280 grams and 840 grams of crack cocaine, as well as between 3.5 kilograms and 5 kilograms of powder cocaine, in the Monroe County area between May and July 2015.  He was one of eleven indicted by a grand jury in July 2015 and charged with conspiring to distribute powder cocaine, crack cocaine and/or heroin in the Monroe County area.
