Pike Corrections Officer of the Year recognized

MILFORD - The Pike County Commissioners recognized Diane Taranto as Correctional Officer of the Year for 2018 during their May 15th meeting. Warden Craig Lowe of the Pike County Correctional Facility bestowed the honor on Taranto in a proclamation issued during Corrections Officers Week (May 6-12).

“Officer Taranto has performed her duties in an outstanding manner, demonstrating extraordinary levels of correctional professionalism, job proficiency, and dedication to duty with extreme diligence,” said Warden Lowe.

Officer Taranto has served Pike County for 17 years. “We know that this is a difficult job that you, and all of the officers, do and we really appreciate it,” said Pike County Commissioner Chairman Matthew Osterberg. “Congratulations on a great career and well-deserved honor.”
