Monroe bank robbed


EAST STROUDSBURG – Police are investigating a robbery at the NBT Bank, 107 Brown Street, in East Stroudsburg.  

A man entered the bank, handed the teller a note demanding money and told her to put it in a bag. The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash.

No weapon was threatened or displayed in the robbery and no injuries were reported.

The suspect fled the bank on foot, running up Brown Street where he cut in between houses toward Hallet Street.

The suspect is described as a dark skinned black male, with a goatee type beard, approximately 5’ 8” tall, stocky build, possibly in his 30’s, wearing sunglasses, a black hat with a white letter on it, a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and black shoes.
