Quarter-million dollar drug bust lands Monroe man in jail on multiple charges


STROUD TWP - A Joint investigation was launched in 2018 on Robert Temple, 51, of Stroud Township by the FBI, SARPD, and the Monroe County Drug Task Force. SARPD received information that Temple was selling various drugs from his residence in Blue Mountain Lakes. This investigation led to an arrest warrant and two search warrants that were executed on October 3, 2019. One at Temple’s residence on Reunion Ridge in Stroud Township and the other on Temple’s vehicle. 

After serving the search warrants, Temple was taken into custody and is being charged with the following (multiple counts of each):

• Possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver- Felony
• Possession of a controlled substance- Misdemeanor
• Possession of paraphernalia- Misdemeanor

As a result of the search warrants, the following items were found:

• 300 grams of cocaine
• 75 grams of heroin
• 20 grams of marijuana
• Thousands of Xanax pills
• Over a thousand vials of suspected steroids
• Scales and packaging
• 15 firearms
• $66,000 in US currency

The estimated street value of the narcotics seized is in excess of $250,000.

The Stroud Area Regional Police Department would like to thank the FBI and the Monroe County Drug Task force for their assistance with this investigation.

Temple is being held in lieu of $15,000 bail.
