Cindy McCain takes political laps in Poconos |

LONG POND – One NASCAR’s most enthusiastic fans was on hand greet many of the drivers at Sunday’s Pennsylvania 500 race in Long Pond. Cindy McCain, wife of presumptive Republican presidential candidate John McCain walked through the pit area and greeted the drivers as they were introduced. She also took one lap around the 2½-mile track in the pace car. McCain was not the only celebrity on hand, nor was she the most recognizable. Actor Kiefer Sutherland, star of TV’s “24”, was also watched the race. By the way, Carl Edwards, taking a gamble on fuel, won the rain-delayed race.
