MILFORD – A five-year-old girl was taken to the hospital after getting in trouble at Milford Beach earlier this week. 

The girl, staying at an area camp, apparently was within the roped off swimming area, when she had difficulty in five-foot-deep water.  She was taken to shore immediately, by a camp counselor, who was in the water with her, and given CPR by lifeguards assigned to the beach.  She began breathing but was taken to a hospital in Morristown NJ.

She reportedly will be released today.

The incident happened Wednesday.
