MONROE COUNTY – Separate accidents sent two people to the hospital Monday.

A two-vehicle crash on Route 191 in Stroud Township, shortly before 2 p.m., caused serious injuries to a woman, whose name has not been released.  Police say the woman apparently failed to yield to an oncoming van.  The woman was flown to Lehigh Valley Hospital.  Three occupants of the van were slightly hurt.

A one-vehicle accident about 8:50 Monday evening sent the driver to the hospital.  Police say the man, name not released, apparently lost control on Hollow Road near Shawnee Lake, and hit a tree.  The injuries appeared serious.  A helicopter took the man from the scene.
