Suddenly there were six

HONESDALE - Three sets of twins were born at Wayne Memorial Hospital’s New Beginnings unit in six days, beginning on July 5th.

That’s when Dr. Pedro Mencia of Women’s Health Care NEPA delivered Alyssa (5 lbs. 13 oz.) and Alexandria (4 lbs 6 oz.) Miller (not pictured). On July 8th, his colleague, Dr. Hoon Yoo delivered Gabrial (5 lbs 15 ½ oz.) and Joshua (6 lbs. 4 ½ oz.) Combs. Two days later, July 10th, Dr. Catalina Dinu helped Cody (5 lbs 11 ¼ oz) and Corey (5 lbs. 10 oz.) Pollack arrive in the world.

“It has been busy,” said Unit Coordinator Heather Holmes.  “All of these deliveries remind me how talented our OB/gyn doctors are.  It was most impressive to see the sheer ability of calmness in these doctors.”
